What was my experience from the FLOREO project?

I enjoyed the work in FLOREO very much. It was a demanding but very rewarding experience, as the start ups I worked with showed a lot of enthusiasm and succeeded to develop excellent products, containing herbs – oils, candles and soaps.

My deepest satisfaction came from the discussions with the Bulgarian partners, especially those of Cluster Varna Business Consult, as we spoke the same language when talked about difficulties for young people in finding motivation to stay in rural regions, especially those in the cross-border regions, far from the entertainments in the big city.

We think there are a lot of additional opportunities for us to use herbs in social enterprises and create more jobs and labour opportunities for vulnerable communities. In addition, the young entrepreneurs with whom I worked gave us a lot of sustainable ideas for the follow up of the project in the forthcoming period 2021-2027 – e.g. building similar information and educational infrastructure like these of FLOREO in Bulgaria.
